Who should use this extension?
This Extension is not a standalone product. It is created exclusively for Observe.AI customers and their authorized users (e.g., call agents).
Why should they use it?
This Extension can only be used and will only function in conjunction with the Observe.AI Screen Recorder Desktop Application, which must be installed on the user's device. Its purpose is to enable Observe.AI's Screen Recording application to protect end-user privacy by redacting sensitive information from screens and to track agent screen activity for real-time insights.

Which websites will this be applicable on
The Extension will be active on all websites. It collects the full URL and Browser Title of all websites visited in the browser while the Extension is active.
Details about Observe.AI extension
This Extension integrates directly with the Observe.AI Screen Recorder Desktop Application.
• It allows the Observe.AI platform to identify information that should be redacted from the screen recordings captured by the desktop application.
• It allows the platform to keep sequential logs of a user's browsing activity.
• All data collected by this Extension is transmitted to the Observe.AI platform and is only viewable within the Observe.AI web application by authorized, logged-in users belonging to your organization.
What data do we collect from the call agent?
To enable its features, the Extension collects the following specific types of data from the browser:
• Browsing Activity: We collect the full URL and Browser Title of all websites visited.
• Webpage Element Metadata: or specific webpages that are configured by your organization, we also collect metadata about certain input and button elements on the page. This metadata includes:
• Element's Tag Name (e.g., input, button)
• Class Name
• ID
• Type (e.g., text, submit)
Important: We do not collect any user-entered data. The Extension does not capture or record any information that you type into forms, text fields, password boxes, or any other user-input field.
What data is stored / persisted?
The collected data (URLs, titles, and metadata) is transmitted via the desktop application to the Observe.AI platform, where it is stored securely as part of your organization's account data.
How do we use the data?
This data flow is a part of the services we provide to our corporate customers.
• Screen Redaction: We use the collected data (URLs and element metadata) to identify sensitive information that should be redacted (i.e., obscured or hidden) from screen recordings.
• Activity Logging: We use the collected URLs and page titles to keep sequential logs of a user's browsing activity for workflow analysis.
• Rule-Based Detection: We use user-defined rules (configured by your organization) to detect specific URLs or page elements for redaction.
Is any personal data shared with third parties?
No. No personal data collected by this Extension is shared with or sold to any third parties.
Access to the collected data is strictly limited to authorized, logged-in members via the Observe.AI web application.
